Syria – a country at the center of the international community’s focus right now. Are the millions of women and children displaced within Syria and refugees without being considered, though? IRC’s new report tells the stories of many of the women and children left behind, or even with their families, who feel unprotected, harassed, and in danger. IRC conducted over 200 interviews and 70,000 conversations with women of this region before releasing this report.

It is a call for the UN, during this week of the 2014 General Assembly, to increase the minimum standards of safety and implementation of humanitarian relief for women and children in Syria and throughout the Middle East.
