Coordinated Community Response

Beyond our core legal programs, GAIN responds in real time to the most pressing needs of our client communities through short-term projects and topical pro se and educational clinics. We also invest considerable effort in providing resources and technical assistance to community partners, with the goal to enhance the capacity of other organizations to deliver similar support. Our most recent effort, Project Ally, provided monthly asylum and Temporary Protected Status (TPS) clinics and immigration support to newly resettled Afghans in Georgia. In 2025, GAIN is filling the void left by the closure of the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Southeast Immigrant Freedom Initiative by assisting detained immigrants as they navigate complex legal cases with limited access to local or national resources.
