VOLUNTEER WITH GAIN
GAIN offers several volunteer opportunities for those who are interested in advocating for and supporting immigrant survivors of crime and persecution. Volunteering with GAIN might look like taking on a pro bono case, translating and/or interpreting for a GAIN client, or providing support at a legal clinic. We also have non-legal volunteer opportunities including assisting our Client Care Team and providing event support for our spring fundraiser and our end of year client appreciation event.
VOLUNTEER ON A LEGAL CASE

At GAIN, our trained volunteer attorneys help fuel our work by taking on pro bono cases for our clients. In return, GAIN’s legal team guides our volunteers, offering technical assistance during their case. We’re always looking to grow our network of pro bono attorneys—if you’re interested in taking on a pro bono case, visit us on Paladin to learn more!
VOLUNTEER AT A LEGAL CLINIC
GAIN’s legal clinics offer short-term opportunities for volunteers to provide immigration relief support to the communities we serve. We partner with law firms, colleges, and nonprofit partner organizations to host clinics for participants who are filing for asylum, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), and work permits. You do not have to be an attorney to volunteer at our clinics. To stay informed, sign up for alerts for our upcoming legal clinics.

NON-LEGAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

GAIN has several non-legal volunteer and internship opportunities available, including serving as translators and interpreters, roles within our Client Care Team, clinic assistants, administrative support, and getting involved with our annual events. Complete our Non-Legal Volunteer Interest Form to learn more and get involved.
