GAIN invites you to an evening with a pioneer in the fight against human trafficking. Anna Rodriguez was the instrumental force behind the rescue of a young female trafficking victim which led to the prosecution of her traffickers in U.S. v. Tecum. The Tecum case was one of the cases that influenced Congress to pass the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000. Ms. Rodriguez has been recognized by former President George W. Bush and former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft for her efforts against human trafficking. Ms. Rodriguez will be signing copies of her new book “Ma’am Anna: The Remarkable Story of a Human Trafficking Rescuer” and participating in a panel discussion, followed by a Q&A. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres, wine, and beer will be served.
